Ahead of poll, seven new wards carved out in SMC
District Administeration Shimla issued a draft proposal in public domain for delimitation craving out seven new wards in the town.
As per the proposal the total number of wards proposed for Shimla MC have been increased from 34 to 41. Among those wards broken up into two are Krishna Nagar, Khalini, Vikasnagar and Kasumpti. These populated wards are divided now into eight wards includes Lower & Upper Krishna Nagar, Lower & Upper Khalini, lower & Upper Vikasnagar and
Kusumpti-1 & Kasumpti –II. This has added 4 new wards to this tally.
Further among the new wards are Dingudhar,
Brockhurst and Shankali.
DC Shimla has invited suggestion and objection pertaining to draft delimitation proposal in a period of 7 days.
