After snowfall and inclement weather mercury dips in Himachal
The Mercury plummeted in the state as the coldwave intensified during the night and wee hours on Tuesday.

In the past 24 hrs, a few places were lashed by light to moderate rain and sleet as Kahu-19 mm rain Kandaghat-16 mm, Naina Devi in Bilaspur 14, Jubbal Hatti airport-6 mm Rohru-5, Gohar-4, Sundernagar,, Berthin & Shimla-3 each, BBMb-1700, Mandi, Bijahi, Pandoh & Sunni-2 mm each.
Met Office forecast that till the end of this week, weather is likely to mainly dry but a coldwave is likely to intensify in the state.

During the day it was chill but mainly dry and Sunny in the state. Vehicular traffic was partly restored between Manali and the South portal of the Atal tunnel but in the North portal vehicles are playing on the black ice road.
Tourists are making a beeline towards the snow point of ATR as large numbers of vehicles are waiting their turn on the regulated traffic up to the tunnel.
The administration has issued an advisory to locals and tourists to avoid traveling on the snowbound roads in the state.
