Rakesh Singh, senior leader of CPI(M) and former MLA of India Alliance, said that after independence, this is not an ordinary election but an extraordinary election. Where the current Chief Ministers of two states have been sent to jail by PM Modi through the evil ED working against the Constitution. This has happened for the first time in history. He said that CPI(M) India approves of the alliance and will work for Congress candidates on four Lok Sabha and six assembly seats in the state.

Taking a dig at the BJP government at the Centre, Singha said that today the country is in danger where PM Modi wants to kill democracy by abolishing the Constitution. PM Modi has crossed all limits. Every day the Indian alliance lodges some complaint against PM Modi and BJP leaders with the Election Commission, but neither does the Election Commission take any action on it nor is it able to muster the courage to take action against PM Modi. Singha said that democracy will survive only if the Constitution survives.
