Admin vacated Ridge after the deliberate violation of Covid norms new year relievers :SDM

Subdivision Magistrate Shimla urban Manjeet Sharma stated here today that Administeration was forced to vacate historic Ridge and Mall road in the town last night as new year relievers and Tourist who had gathered for new year celebration in heavy crowds were violating Covid restrictions and most of them are without masks after repeative warning and challan.
Addressing media person on the Saturday he said that administration took strict action against those who did not wear masks.
 SDM himself reached the ridge ground, himself wheree Tourists have reached Shimla in large numbers to celebrate the new yea.
He said that ground was full of tourists to its capacity and during.their stays here  are not following the covid rules.
Though Ridge was vacated soonafter Shimla Urban SDM Manjeet Sharma suddenly reached the Ridge ground and  inspect the situation.
He said that police urged Tourist and new year revellers  to wear masks properly, while many tourists also challaned those who did not wear masks.  

During the melie , police personnel were also engage in verbal spat with them and many tourists were also seen getting entangled with the police personnel. 
 Although police personnel have been deployed on the Ridge ground, tourists are not wearing masks even when they speak.
 SDM said that tourists have come to Shimla in large numbers to celebrate the new year and tourists are being urged to follow the rules of covid, but its tourists are violating the rules.
  Tourists who are not following the rules are being challaned even after speaking again and again.
Administeration now urged the Tourist and revellers that  at present there are no strictness is being taken by the government in the state to enters and roam them in Tourist places.  
We could allow to celebrate the New Year till late night on Ridge Mall Road, in such a situation however the risk of spreading infection had also increased.” Manjeet Sharma added.
