Admin  ban on carrying weapons under Sec. 144 on the day of counting

In view of the counting of votes to be held on December 8 for the Vidhansabha Elections-2022, District Magistrate Shimla Aditya Negi banned the carrying of lethal weapons in Shimla district.  Giving information about this, the Deputy Commissioner said that between 4 am on December 8, 2022 to 8 am on December 9, 2022, no person would carry weapons or lethal weapons in the district.  Aditya Negi said that this order would not apply to the security personnel deployed in the security system.

 Apart from this, the District Magistrate has banned the gathering of crowd in the radius of 100 meters of all the counting centers under Section 144.District Election Officer Aditya Negi said that all preparations have been completed for the counting of votes.  The counting of votes will start at 8 am.  He said that there would be 19 rounds of counting in Chopal constituency, 14 rounds in Theog, 8 rounds in Kasumpti, 10 rounds in Shimla Urban, 17 rounds in Shimla Rural, 12 rounds each in Jubbal Kotkhai and Rampur and 11 rounds in Rohru.
