Accused wanted in cyber fraud nab in Jharkhand
A Cyber Fraud accused wanted by state cyber crime sleuth was arrested from Jamtara area Jharkhand who was brought to Shimla on Friday, police officer confirmed.
The arrested criminal was brought from Jamtara, Jharkhand for duping a person of Rs 1.53 lakh by state police. The crime was registered under section 420 of IPC, committed under the garb of downloading ‘Any desk Apps’ under Police Station Boileauganj this Capital recently. The complainant alleged that he made an online payment for depositing the water bill. During the payment he encountered a problem, after searching the customer care number from google victim called the accused who misguided him vicious got him downloaded to download vthe app to clear the payment, after which Rs 1.53 lakh found debted from his bank account. On the complaint, a special team of police was constituted to nab the accused, who was raided Jamtara, Jharkhand on the basis of the location and call details of the accused. The police recovered Rs 60 thousand cash, debit card and mobile phone from the culprit at his hideout. Police included the IT Act to the said prosecution. Investigation is on in the matter. Bewaring the general public Cyber cell urged them not to download any app in the mobile at behest of any unknown person nor share any such information with unknown person.
