ABVP Himachal Pradesh University unit staged a protest against the rigging in the NET exam
he Himachal Pradesh University unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad today staged a protest at Pink Petal Chowk over the cancellation of the NET exam held on June 18 and demanded appropriate action against the NTA.
While presenting his views, unit minister Avinash Sharma said that the incidents of paper leak are raising questions on the credibility of NTA. The cancellation of UGC-NET exam due to the apprehension of paper leak is raising questions on the preparation of NTA and somewhere there is a need to rein in the education mafia that has developed to influence the examinations across the country and an example needs to be set by punishing such people.
This is not the first time this is happening. When the matter of rigging in the NEET exam came to light, the student council started raising its voice against it.
The conduct and result of NEET UG 2024 exposed the inefficiency and corruption of the National Examination Agency (NTA). In that too, the Student Council had said that there should be an immediate CBI inquiry into the process and result of NTA and NEET-UG examination.
Avinash also said that there are doubts among the students regarding the transparency of the exams like NEET and NET which are conducted for admission in medical institutes.
Today we can see that the rigging of the exams of two consecutive national sessions is a matter of concern. If such incidents of paper leaks keep increasing, then students across the country will lose faith in the functioning of the National Examination Agency.
We see that lakhs of students come from far-off places to take these exams and they do not even reach their homes and on the way they come to know that the exam for which they had come from such a far-off place and spent so much money is cancelled. To what extent is it right to play such a bad joke with these students and to play with their future?
The Student Council demands that a CBI inquiry should be conducted into the irregularities in both these exams and strict action should be taken against the culprits.
