AAP to contest all 68 seats in Himachal

The Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) led by Arvind Kejriwal has decided to contest all the sixty-eight(68) Vidhan sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh in 2022 Vidhan Sabha elections on its own.

Ratnesh Gupta, the party’s state in-charge said today that this decision of the party was taken at its highest level and was final.

It’s worth mentioning here that Himachal Pradesh will be the sixth state after Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Gujarat and Goa where AAP was trying to establish its foothold to become a national level party.

The Assembly elections are to be held in Himachal state in November next year. This will be AAP’s electoral debut in Himachal Pradesh, where the Congress and the BJP have alternately held power for more than 30 years.

The hill state has been ruled by the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party alternately since 1985.
