A two-day workshop on tourism and hospitality of Haripurdhar organised

 A two-day on-the-job training workshop organized for the students of Tourism and Hospitality subject of Government Senior Secondary School, Haripurdhar was concluded. Students of all two classes of the school participated in this workshop.

During this two-day on-job training workshop organized at Manav Hill Resort Badyalata Haripurdhar, students were given training in hotel management subjects like catering, cooking, hospitality, housekeeping, and premises cleanliness. During the training, groups of students were formed and they were given practical training on subjects like preparing food and serving it to tourists, housekeeping, preparing resort rooms, cleanliness, etc. in the F&B production area of ​​Manav Hill Resort.

Vocational instructor of the school, Rohit Thakur, who accompanied the students in this two-day training camp, said that apart from studying books, such on-job training workshops play an important role in providing practical education on tourism and hospitality subjects to the students. He said that tourism and hospitality subjects are proving effective in making the youth self-employed and self-reliant. Rohit Thakur said that Manav Hill Resort Badhya Ultra is a very conducive institute to conduct such types of vocational training and workshops.

On this occasion, the Managing Director of Manav Hill Resort, Melaram Sharma said that there are immense employment opportunities for the youth in the field of tourism in Himachal Pradesh and such on-job training workshops play an important role in highlighting the talent of the students. He said that students in Himachal Pradesh can make their future bright by getting an education in tourism and hospitality subjects.

During this two-day practical workshop, students stayed at Manav Hill Resort and learned about the intricacies of tourism and hotel management, along with organizing cultural programs and also building a model of a tree house. On the last day of the workshop, a quiz competition was organized at Manav Hill Resort in which Pradeep Thakur of the school got the first prize, Lucky Surya got the second prize and Nikhil Thakur got the third prize.
