A fire broke out in the HPU Library due to a mobile tower
A major fire mishap averted in the Himachal Pradesh University Library by in-time actions by the Fire personnel on Tuesday.
According to the Fire Officer of Bioleauganj fire station, a fire broke out in a cabine of Airtel Mobile Tower on the top floor of the HPU library building.
The fire tender was pressed from the Bioleauganj and Mall Road Shimla fire station around 1435 hrs which took about one hour to control the infernos. The fire rendered an estimated loss tune of Rs 60000 but a major fire was averted.
Mobile signal and internet facility would remain suspended for the next few days till the equipment burnt in incidents was not installed again.
The fire is completely under control and it has been doused down completely. No damage has occurred to University books and furniture in the mishap, he added.
