A body youth recovers from Chandertal
A body of local youth was recovered today from the glacial lake Chandertal of Lahaul Spiti district by the rescue team the deceased belonged to Jagatsukh of Tourist resort Manali.
Deputy commissioner Lahaul Spiti Neeraj Kumar said that rescue team succeeded to traced out the body of youth in the freezing cold lake and body was sent for postmortem to subdivision Kaza.
Deputy commissioner advised the Tourist and local people to be careful while going near the bank of lake to protect their from such mishap.
DC also cautioned the people to be careful before venturing out to such remote places during the rainy season as heavy rain fall may be highly dangerous and risky for the lives.
The tough hilly terrain in the state are highly vulnerable places and govt has already banned the most of Adventurous vactivities like paragliding and river rafting etc. The tracking and pilgrimage to Lake and snowpoints are still allowed and flock of tourists often climbs too high to fathom the high-altitude.
With opening Rohtang tunnel year to Lahaul Spiti district tourists circuit show sudden extension upto Suraj and Chandertal lake and number of Buddhist Monasteries in the state.
