98 thousand children were given Albendazole medicine in Mashobra block: Dr Mayank

. On the occasion of National Deworming Day, Albendazole medicine to kill stomach worms was given to children in all the educational institutions and Anganwadi centres under Mashobra Medical Block on Friday. This has been confirmed by BMO Mashobra Dr Mayank Sharma.
Dr Mayank said that the purpose of giving Albendazole medicine to every child is to prevent the increasing worm infection in children. He said that to make this program successful, the Health Department had taken the services of Asha workers, Anganwadi workers and employees of the Education Department in addition to the department employees in the field.
Dr. Mayank Sharma said that worms in the stomach of children is a common problem due to which children become victims of malnutrition. He said that walking barefoot during the rainy season especially causes worms to enter the body of children. They go into the stomach and eat the food of the children and the children become victims of malnutrition or anemia. He said that worms can occur in the stomach at any age. Symptoms of this disease are shortness of breath while walking, weight loss and joint pain. In such a situation, the concerned person should go to his nearest health center and get himself examined.
In this series, about 100 children from class 6th to 12th were given Albendazole medicine in the Government Senior Secondary School Peeran of the tehsil. Deputy Principal Devendra Chauhan has given information about this.
