94th Martyrdom Day celebrated at the Kalibari Hall, Shimla
On the 94th martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru, organizations like CITU, Kisan Sabha, Mahila Samiti, SFI, DYFI, AILU etc. organized a seminar at Kalibari Hall, Shimla. The seminar was addressed by Dr. Omkar Shad, Rakesh Singha and Vijendra Mehra. Hundreds of people including Dr. Omkar Shad, Rakesh Singha, Vijendra Mahad, Jagat Ram, Sanjay Chauhan, Falma Chauhan, Satyawan Pundir, Sanjeev Bhushan, Niranjan Verma, Dalip Kayath, Surendra Verma, Sonia, Dinit Denta, Kamal, Kapil, Amit Thakur attended the seminar. Be present. After the seminar, the workers organized a candlelight procession from Kalibari to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the ridge.
Addressing the seminar, Dr. Onkar Shad, Rakesh Singha, and Vijendra Mehra said that the ideas of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru have become more relevant in the present times when the ideology of RSS which supported the British is coming under the leadership of Modi at the Centre. Is in power. Modi government is bent on destroying the democracy and constitution of the country. Dictatorship is being established in this country due to corporate and communal nexus. He said that it is possible to liberate the people of the country from their sufferings only by ousting the labor-farmer and anti-people Modi government from power in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He has said that due to the neo-liberal and pro-capitalist policies of the Modi government at the Centre, the crisis of unemployment, poverty, inequality, and livelihood is increasing. Poverty and hunger are increasing due to unemployment and inflation. Rising inflation due to weakening of the public distribution system has broken the back of the people.
He said that attacks on the democracy and constitution of the country are increasing. The Modi government, which perpetrated the electoral bond scam, has completely sided with the rich and is shattering the dreams of the martyrs of the country’s independence. Due to corporate communal nexus, the poor are becoming poorer and the unity and integrity of the country is being destroyed in the name of religion. Bonded labor is being imposed on workers due to four anti-labor labor codes. By not implementing the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission, farmers are being pushed into a miserable situation. Instead of implementing MSP for farmers, the Modi government is suppressing the farmers. Loans of farmers are not being waived off whereas loans worth seventeen lakh crores of capitalists have been waived off. The profits of the capitalists are being increased by imposing fixed-term employment and 12-hour duty on the workers. Despite the recommendations of the Indian Labor Conference, Rs 26,000 minimum wage is not being implemented to the workers. Students are being deprived of education due to the new education policy. Instead of stopping the rising unemployment, the Modi government is busy making statements. The central government has completely failed to stop violence, atrocities, exploitation and oppression of women. Exploitation and oppression of Dalits has increased during the tenure of this government. Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru would never have even imagined such a discriminatory society. Modi government has harmed India of martyrs’ dreams.
