79% of schools in Himachal do not have computer education facility & 86% of schools do not have internet facility- AAP

Aam Aadmi Party has exposed computer education in Himachal Pradesh during the time of BJP government which gave the slogan of Digital India in the country. Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Gaurav Sharma told a press conference in Shimla today that 85 percent of the schools in the state do not have computers, so how can computer education be given to children. The state government claims to make everything digital every day, but the future of the country has failed to provide computer education to the children. Which proves that the BJP government of Himachal has not made any effort to improve the education system of the state. What kind of education system is this computer education is not being given to the children of Himachal in the 21st century. Gaurav Sharma said, 79.3% schools in Himachal do not have computers, 86.09 schools do not have internet. How computer education can be given to children without computer and internet is the big question.

There are neither teachers nor playgrounds to teach children in schools, thousands of teachers’ posts are vacant.

Exposing the poor education system of the state, the AAP spokesperson said with the data that thousands of teachers’ posts are lying vacant in Himachal’s schools. There are no playgrounds in the schools for the children to play. Giving the figures, party spokesperson Gaurav Sharma said that 20 percent posts of teachers are lying vacant in the state. 31 per cent schools do not have boundary walls and 24 per cent schools do not have playgrounds. Himachal schools lag behind in digital learning as per the Performance Grading Index. It is a matter of thinking about how more than eight lakh children of the state can get better education in this bad condition of education.

Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson said that computer education is imparted to children in Himachal from class IX onwards. If you learn computer in 9th class then how will you progress. Computer education should be given to the child from class I so that the child is updated with technology till class X. Computer education should be given to the children from the first grade so that the child is updated with technology. In today’s time all the work is done through computer, if computer education is given to the children from class IX then the child will be left behind. An AAP spokesperson said, in the investigation of a TV news channel, parents and children themselves are saying that computer education is not given in Himachal government schools, children are not taught computers. The children who have passed in government schools or the children who are doing something good today, it is the children’s own hard work, the government does not contribute even one percent of it.

* Computer education is given to children in Delhi schools from the first class, Delhi model of education will be implemented in Himachal.

Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Gaurav Sharma said that Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur should look into the schools of Delhi. Computer education is given to children in Delhi schools from class one. Delhi schools have internet facility, children of Delhi schools are updated with technology. Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal has budgeted 25 percent of the budget for education. Due to which the entire education system of Delhi has been made better. New buildings of more than a thousand schools have been built where proper arrangements have been made for computer education as well as for children to play.

Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Gaurav Sharma, while stating the report of the Education Department for 2020-21, said that there are 15323 schools in the state, out of which only 3172 have computers and only 2131 schools have internet facility. Only government reports prove that the state government has failed to provide computer education to more than 80 percent of the children.
