52nd Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Memorial Tournament (SSBMT) Outdoor Finals at CSIR IHBT

With great enthusiasm, 8 cricket and 8 volleyball league matches were
played on the second day of the 52nd Shanti Swarup
Bhatnagar Memorial Tournament (SSBMT) Outdoor Finals.
Today, Dr. Sudesh Kumar Yadav, Director CSIR-IHBT, initiated the matches
with the toss at the institute’s ground. Matches were also played at the
CSKHPKV, Palampur; Govt. Senior Secondary School, Chauntra; and
Baijnath grounds. The energy and dedication of the participants were
noticeable.
Today’s winning cricket teams were CSIR-NAL, Bengaluru; CSIR-IIIM,
Jammu; CSIR-NIO Goa; CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi; CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad;
CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad; CSIR-CDRI Lucknow.

In volleyball, the teams that achieved victories through excellent play
were CSIR-CEERI, Pilani; CSIR-NAL, Bengaluru; CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad; CSIR-
NBRI, Lucknow; CSIR-IIP, Dehradun; CSIR-IMTECH, Chandigarh.

The staff of the institute applauded and motivated the participants who
have come from across the country.
