51st All India Summer Football Competition begins in Mandi
51st All India Summer Football Tournament started today at Paddal Maidan of Mandi. Total eight teams including outer territories are participating in the competition Rajasthan Police, Reserve Bank of India, Param Football Club Jammu, Shimla Football Club, Punjab Football Club Chandigarh, Trumpf Football Club Mandi, DFA Mandi, YFC Khadd Una. The competition was inaugurated by Mandi Apoorva Devgan, President and Deputy Commissioner of All India Summer Football Competition Organizing Committee. First match of the tournament played between punjab football club chandigarh and yfc khadd una.
The Deputy Commissioner conveyed his best wishes to the players that many great teams are here to participate in this competition. Great game here five days to watch. He urged locals especially players to come watch this competition. He said people will be educated through this competition to convey the message of drug free market. He also vowed on this occasion to do everything possible to make the family, society and nation free from drug evils, including players.
The Secretary of the Organizing Committee welcomed the Deputy Commissioner, said this five-day competition aims to promote sports to help youth stay away from intoxication and push their energy towards positive activities. They said that the competition has been sponsored by Life Insurance Corporation of India, Sutluj Hydropower Corporation, Himachal Tourism Corporation and NTPC.
