4-Lane affected hope for early solution of issues

Land Acquisition Affected Forum and Fourlane  joint struggle committee convener B R Kondal Joginder Walia stated today that after public hearing by ministerial level committee on land acquisition would  find a solution to the issues of the farmers in the coming days.In a press statement issued today Mr Walua said that government expected to immediately settle the demands of the farmers. Action committe raised their demands  in front of the ministerial level sub-committee in Mandi,. He said that consultation held with 25 different organizations of the land acquisition affected forum  or  Fourlane Sayant Sangharsh Samiti. Ministers unanimously agreed to implement Factor-two (four times compensation) restoration and rehabilitation as per the Land Acquisition Act 2013.  It was strongly raised and the coordinator.  Mr. Joginder Walia reminded the government that in 2018 a sub-committee was constituted at the ministerial level under the chairmanship of Mr. Govind Thakur, in which the Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation and Land Acquisition, 2013, as per Factor-2  The government had talked about implementing its (vision) manifesto, but despite the passage of 4 years, state has not yet taken any decision on it and we are hopeful.  Under the chairmanship of Mohinder Singh Thakur a 3 member (Govind Thakur, Rakesh Pathania) ministerial level committee will definitely find a solution to the issues of the farmers in the coming days and settle the demands of the farmers, and if not resolved soon.  If gone, land acquisition will be affected in the coming days.  The forum will be compelled to organize a state level movement in association with other farmers’ organizations. President of Prabhabit Manch, Shri BR Kaundal has said that four lane roads are being constructed in the state by the NHAI, in which the land of farmers is being acquired, due to which the affected farmers, shopkeepers and other citizens whose agricultural land or  Livelihoods are getting affected by this land acquisition, so the notification dated April 2, 2015 (two times) should be canceled immediately and state should implement the Land Acquisition Act, 2013 (Resettlement, Rehabilitation and Fourfold Compensation) in time.   Compensation should be fixed as per the market rate, 12 per cent interest, should be given and the pending cases in the divisional court should be disposed of quickly. The President of Four Lane Prabhabit Committee, Bilaspur, Mr. Madan Sharma demanded that no change should be made in the road plan and dumping should be done at the appropriate place.
 Fourlane Affected Union (Kullu-Mandi), President Naresh Kumar (Kuku) demanded that the villages adjoining the proposed four lanes with 5 meter control width and 3 meter TCP scheme canceled the condition of 50 meters, compensated the shopkeepers for rehabilitation.  Go, compensation for the damage caused outside the proposed road and relief to the common people within 20 km radius of the toll plaza. In the end, Mr. Mohinder Singh Thakur, Chairman, Cabinet Sub-Committee, after listening to the views of all, gave assurance to the farmers and said that on the above demands, the sub-committee will submit its report to the government within the next 15 days so that the farmers can get relief. In the meeting, revenue secretary, Omkar Sharma and officers of the NHAI and about 150 farmers of Mandi, Kullu, Kangra and Bilaspur of Fourlane Sangharsh Samiti participated.
