3-Day training on emergency & trauma care for BSF medical teams at AIIMS Bilaspur

A three-day training program on Basic Emergency and Trauma Care, organized under the “Panch-Pran” initiative, kicked off today at the Skills and Simulation Centre, AIIMS Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. The course is designed for BSF medical officers and paramedics from Jalandhar, Punjab, to enhance their skills in managing critical emergencies.

The program offers comprehensive training, including hands-on practice and simulated emergency scenarios. Participants will learn crucial life-saving techniques such as Basic Life Support (BLS), trauma and shock management, treatment for burns, musculoskeletal injuries, and more. Additionally, the course includes workshops on basic and advanced airway management methods.

Professor V.S. Negi inaugurated the session, highlighting the program’s significance as a pioneering step in fostering collaboration with other institutions and security forces to advance trauma care expertise. Dr. Neeta Paliwal, DIG of BSF Punjab, also marked her presence at the launch.

Over the next three months, a total of four batches of BSF personnel will receive this specialized training, significantly enhancing their preparedness for handling emergency and trauma situations with greater efficiency.
