3.49 magnitude earthquake jolts Kinnuar district
The villages of Kinnuar district of Himachal Pradesh along India-Tibet International border jolted by 3.40 magnitude earthquake last night, Indian Meterogical Department informed. Earthquake tremors are felt in tribal district K late on Friday night. According to the Meteorological Center Shimla, three to four tremors were felt around 10:02 pm. The epicenter of the earthquake was Nako of Kinnaur at latitude of 31.93 North and Longitude of 78.63 East and 5 kilometers depth . Apart from Nako, tremors were also felt in nearby Chango, Samdo, Pooh, Khab, Reckong Peo along the China border. It is being told that some people came out of their homes after repeated tremors. Fortunately, there was no loss of life or property in this.
