250 HP students stranding in Ukraine CM 

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister stated in the assembly on Thursday that about 250 students belonging to Himachal Pradesh are still stranded in the war torn Ukraine who are being evacuated on the war footing by Cargo aircraft of Indian Air Force. Giving a Suo-moto statement in the house Mr Thakur said that he is in constant touch with the Indian Embassy and Union Minister of External Affairs and he was informed that 249 students of state  stranded in war-torn Ukraine all of them would be safely evacuate as they were moving to bordering nations from where they would be airlifted to India. He said that 53 students may be in uin and Kharkiv while all the students from capital city of Kiev have been evacuated. CM Said that so far, 198 state students have been evacuated from the country. “We have appealed to the parents of the stranded students to contact us through CM Helpline 110 and till date, 163 students and their families have been contacted.  The war between Ukraine and Russia has become a cause of concern and various governments in the world are making efforts to shift stranded students to bordering countries, he added. The state  officials are meeting the families of stranded students and also the students. The government is in regular contact with the Union government and whatever input we are receiving from parents or students are being forwarded to concerned Union government officials, he added.
CM complimented the PM Narendra Modi for making efforts to ensure safe evacuation of all Indian nationals from Ukraine and said special flights including Indian Airforce aircraft is being plied into service to airlift them.The Union government is also making arrangements for their stay and further journey back to India, he added. Asha Kumari of Congress said that State should concentrate to evacuation process in the war torn Kharkiv and made arrangement to transport the students from their shelter to border by making arrangements of vehicle and bus bearing Indian Flag to make them safe passage to bring out from the war conflicted areas. She said that a Indian students made an attempt to came out from their places and he killed after hit in the shelling. Their safety should be ensured in the battle fields not  concentrated from the airlifting from the border countries only. She said that safety of Indian students should be ensure by talking to Russia to allow safe passage for their evacuations.Chief Minister said that the Government is making every efforts to ensure that every stranded student came out from the war zone before the situation became more grim. She said that most of stranded students are coming out form their places already and Indian Embassy is trying to bring them out by intervening as five union ministers were deployed in the border nations of Ukraine.
