2024-25 Himachal budget to bringing the economy back on track: Congress
Himachal Pradesh Budget for the financial year 2024-25 would help the state to bring back the derailed state economy on track after Covid Pendamic and extravagance of previous BJP rule.
Starting budget in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Wednesday Palampur Congress MLA Ashish Butel said.
He said that every section has been taken care of in the budget as this budget kept in mind the idea of bringing the economy back on track, especially the rural households.
Mandi BJP MLA Anil Sharma said that milk has to be brought from faraway places in the state. There is no mention of its purchase in the budget. If processing costs increase and milk is not sold, where will we take it?
Congress MLA from Lahaul-Spiti Ravi Thakur said that this budget is in the public interest. Many provisions have been made in the budget, which are going to benefit Himachal Pradesh.
There is a need to take more interest in the metalling of rural roads. The matter of promoting sports field activities is also good. It has been announced to give Rs 1500 per month to the women of Lahaul-Spiti. It will start very soon. Water sources have gone far back. These will have to be remodeled.
He said that attention should be paid to the new tourism-based scheme as the state has great potential to generate extra revenue and create more self-employment avenues in this sector
There is a plan to set up a mini secretariat in every district near the District Magistrate’s office. Its foundation stone was laid in 2003 during the time of the Dhumal government, but it has not been completed yet.
