200 million US dollars finical assistance for Shimla water supply
World Bank has sanctioned 200 million US Dollar financial assistance to Shimla Municipal Corporation Supply Scheme, this was stated by Union Minister for Urban Housing Kaushal Kishore while replying to a question asked by Member of Rajya Sabha Ms. Indu Bala Goswami in Rajya Sabha today. He said that this amount has been approved in two parts, under which an amount of US $ 40 million has been approved for development policy loan and US $ 160 million for the program for results. Union Minister also informed the Rajya Sabha member that World Bank schedule to completed this scheme by the year 2026. For the improvement of already Commissioned Shimla water supply schemes under AMRUT MISSION funds Rs 76.03 Cr also provide for maintenance and upgrade their capacity.
