19 member Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour on Shimla tour
19 member of parliamentary standing committee of labour \comprised of 18 member of Lok Sabha and one of Rajaya Sabha and five member of ParalimentarySecretariat staff visited Shimla to hear the grievances of casual and unorganized workers belonged to Bharat Heavy Electric Limited, Central Public Works Department, National Thermal Power Corporation and United Commercial Bank at Wildlife Flowers hall hotel here today.
Composition of Standing Committee on Labour in connection with their study is on five day visitof Srinagar, Shimla and Chandigarh from Aug 23 to 27.
The Chairperson of committee is Bhartruhari Mahtab( MP) Subhash Chandra Bahcria, Pallab Lochan Das, Pasunoori Dayakar, Satish Kumar autam, B.N. Bache Gowda, Dr. Umesh G. Jadhav, Bhola Singh, Ganesh Singh, Dharmendra Kumar Kashyap, Sanjay Sadashivrao Mandlik, Adv. Dean Kuriakose, Nayab Singh Saini, Naba Kumar Sarania, Dr. Banda Prakash, Elamaram Kareem, Naresh Bansal, Vivek Thakur and Ms. Dola Sen
Lok Sabha staff include D.R. Mohanty – Director , Sanjay Sethi – Additional Director, K.G. Sidhartha Deputy Secretary, Ravinder Sharma – Sr. PS to Chairperson and Vishal Rajput Liaisoning Assistant.
The state president of CITU Mr Vajinder Mehera said that he was invited by the committee to present the detail of issues belonged to BHEL, CPWD, NTPC and UCO bank organised and casual workers. He said that CITU \submitted to Memorandum to committee chairperson on the issue of CPWD and UCO bank workers and employeesas the most of employees in the state belonged to the two sectors only.
