19 die eight missing in 36 rain related mishaps in HP
Ninteen person died nine injured and six are missing in various rain related mishaps occurred in Mandi, Chamba and Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh since past 24 hrs. The state government spokesperson confirmed that 11 cattle died and 10 are missing as five cowshed and 12 houses were damaged. Seven more roads blocked by landslide and six vehicle damaged and one bridge washed away on Chaki river in Kangra district. In village Kashan of subdivision Gohar of Mandi district a landslide hit on the house of
Gram Panchayat Pradhan and eight person died under debris of two houses. District administration And NDRF team was rushed to Spot. The mishaps damaged two houses and each Cowshed in which two cow and seven sheep burried under the debris. Two died and six are Missing rescued. In a Cloud Burst mishaps occurred at Bagi in Mandi district , near Parashar road five,’ Kachha ‘ house washed away. Three died in Village Banet, Muhal Chudana Tehsil Bhattiyat District Chamba, as a house collapsed . Rescued immediate relief (30,000/-) provided to the family of the vctims. Deceased identified as Chamaru S/o Sh. Dharmu, Ajay S/o Chamaru and Meena Devi W/o Chamaru. In Village Gaggal Khas of Kangra district one died as entire Village is flooded due to heavy rainfall. A Vehicle bearing UP number hit by a boulder at Mahipal near Sainj uner Theog subdivision in District Shimla. Four person travelling in car who belonged to UP. The car was returning to Noida from Rohru when it was hit by the boulder in which two person died on the spot and two injured was taken to civil hospital Theog. One each person are each are missing from Hanogi of Mandi district and Kyoli village of Lambathach under Thunag subdivision of Mandi district. In Shimla district a Landslide hit HP Petrol pump at Theog in this incident four vehicle are damaged. 500 people were evacuated to safer place in Halerd village of Jaisinghpur Tehsil of Kangra district as Entire village Village is flooded due to heavy rainfall. 22 person are stranded on the roof top after rising of Beas river above danger mark in Kheiri of Sujanpur in Hamirpur District. 19 person are no rescued . Three cattle died in the flash flood.
In In the state about 34 rain related incidents took 15 died and eight others are missing. Seven house and two Cowshed collapsed and 11 cattle and animals were killed and ten washed away in the rain furry. 350 roads are affected by the landslides and power supply also disrupted in 1550 places .Heavy rainfall and landslide affected vehicular traffic at number of roads including Chandigarh Kalka-Shimla National Highway and Manali National Highway at many places. Orange and Yellow alert was issued by the Indian meteorological department fir next three days in the state.
