17th CPI(M) conference concluded at Kullu, Dr. Onkar Shad re-elected Himachal state secretary

Dr Onkar Shad re-elected as CPI(M) state secretary during two days 17the party state conference concluded at Kullu today
A party press release issued here today said that during the state conference seven member secretariat Committee and 30 member state committee were elected.
Along with this, a 7-member state secretariat was also constituted, in which apart from Dr. Omkar Shad, Rakesh Singha, Dr. Kashmir Singh Thakur, Dr. Kuldeep Singh Tanwar, Prem Gautam, Kushal Bhardwaj, Sanjay Chauhan are included.
 A 30-member state committee was also elected in the state conference, in which Dr. Onkar Shad as Secretary, Rakesh Singha, Dr. Kashmir Singh Thakur, Dr. Kuldeep Singh Tanwar, Prem Gautam, Kushal Bhardwaj, Sanjay Chauhan, Vijendra Mehra, Bhupendra Singh, Satyawan Pundir, Devkinand, Jagat Ram, Ravindra, Narayan Singh, Rajendra Chauhan, Vishwanath Sharma, Jaywanti, Santosh Kapoor, Hotam Sonkhla, Ashok Katoch, Rajendra Thakur, Mohit Verma, Joginder Singh, Mohindra Rana, Vijay Sharma, K.K. Rana, Sudesh Kumari, Falma Chauhan, Narendra, Satpal are included. Ram Singh was included in the committee as a permanent invitee.
 In the control commission, Jagmohan Thakur was made the chairman and Dr. Reena Singh and Pratap Rana were made members.
 In the conference, 4 members were selected for the 23rd General Conference of the party, in which Rakesh Singha, Dr. Kashmir Singh Thakur, Dr. Kuldeep Singh Tanwar, Prem Gautam would represent the state in the Mahasammelan. In the absence of any member, Falma Chauhan will be sent in his place.

Party conference was attended by 195 party members  across the state gave their suggestions and  decided to intensify the struggle against anti-people policies by the BJP government in the state.  The political, economic and social situation of the state was discussed in the conference.    Eight resolutions were passed in the conference, including to oppose and Protest to changes in labour laws, new education policy,  unemployment,  privatization and monetization.
Party also passed resolution on the women’s issues, problems and demands farmers, Apple growers and Dalits  agriculture were also passed.
Discussion also passed by horticulture and animal husbandry issues, implementation of the Land Acquisition Act, 2013 (Resettlement, Rehabilitation and demanding four times compensation) in the state.
 CPI(M) politburo member Tapan Sen inaugurated and concluded the conference. 
 Mr. Tapan Sen said that possibilities of farmer-laborer unity are being created in the country, due to which there are possibilities of changing the political balance and equation in the country.
  He said that the manner in which the government has started selling the public assets of the country to private hands, this process is not going to stop here, more government properties soon include in this list.
 He said that the rights of workers have been attacked by changes in labour laws and agricultural laws have been brought to grab the land of farmers.  
The general public is suffering from inflation and unemployment.  At this time the party needs to stand firmly with the people and on the side of the people.  He called upon the state party to go among the people and mobilize the people, he added.
