15 plus vaccination : HP achieves 46 p c target

Himachal Pradesh likely to achieve cent per cent target of 15 plus vaccination soon as in first two days of first phase it have achieved 46.45 pc vaccination, the state Government senior health officer claimed.
The campaign launched on Jan 3 all over the state likely to achieved target of 3,57 450 vaccination of chilldrenwho are of 15 to 18 yrs age group and most of them enrolled in State Government and Private Schools in ninth to 12 th standards/
The data released by the spokesperson of Health department copy of which is with UNI claimed that in very first two days state have succeed to give shot of vaccine to as many as 166040 children achieving the vaccination target by 46.45 per cent .
The state have already taken lead in the vaccination driver by achieving cent per cent vaccination above 18 plus age group as more than 55 lakh people are already got the two dose of Covid Shield vaccination in the state for which Prime mInister Narendra Modi showered praise on the Chief Minster Jai Ram Thakur and Health MinisterDr Rajiv Sehijal during a special event organised in the Month of December last year.
Dr Rajiv Sehijal visited Vikasnagar  vaccination booth on Jan 3  and interact with media persons after the visit claiming that the keenness of parents and number of students between 15 to 18 yrs age group turning up for vaccination, state  likely to achieve cent per cent target of first dose shortly on national level alike it did in higher age group. 
In largest populated Kangra district about 38399 students got 1st dose of vaccine, 26402 in Mandi district15495 in Sirmaur district and 15403 in Kullu and 13123 in Shimla districts. In least populated Kinnuar and Lahaul Spiti district 1142 and 551 children have vaccinated under the special drive..
The Cowin portal updates on Jan 4 , at 1930 hrs indicates that 72,2289 children in the 15 plus age group got first dose on 2nd day and cumulative figures including Jan 3 vaccination in the group went up to166040.
Including 15 plus and 18 plus as many as 74715 students got vaccination which include 72289 in 15 plus for first dose, 812 in 18 plus first dose and 1614 in 18 plus second dose . 
State have achieved the overall vaccination target of 11,53,2432 doses including 6027047 second dose and 5505385 second dose. 
The special first phase drive for students above 15 to 18 yrs group would last till Jan 15 and the second dose wouldbe administered after 36 days of having first dose among the children under the new norms.
