1306 houses & cowsheds collapse in HP after heavy rainfall

Himachal Pradesh Government informed the house on Thursday that as many as 1306 houses and cowshed have collapsed and washed during the rainfall in the state.
Replying to a call attention motion after the question hour Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Verander Kanwar said that ten per cent quota was fixed to repair and build the houses of rain affected people as a financial grant of Rs 1.50 lakh was being provided to each affected family. 
”Keeping in the increasing losses of houses, cowsheds and shops in the rainy season out of 15000 houses allotted under Chief Minister House scheme ten percent houses was alloted to rain affected.
Minister said that Prime minister housing scheme cover 60 per cent SC/ST house holds and rest of the houses were allotted by the respective Gram Sabha from the list of BPL families on the slab basis. Under the PM Awass Yojana Rs 1.30 lakh have been provided by the center which now increased to 1.50 lakh as state is providing Rs 20, 000 from its own kitty.
No houses could be allotted under the PM housing scheme to those who suffered loss to their houses, cowsheds and shops due to rain and natural calamities.
The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj department did not carry any survey and prepared the  report of damage of houses in the natural calamity as its survey and detail are being prepared by the Revenue department and district administration.
All the houses and other construction damage in the rain have been covered under CM housing scheme in one go upto last year and now there is no pendency before the department. 
Minister said that Rs two lakh were also sanctioned udner state disaster Relief funds (SDRF) each were being issued to affected families as concerned Block Development Officer \sent the detail of loss of houses and cowsheds to concerned Deputy Commissioner.
 Minister also informed that as many as1306 houses were affected by the heavy rain in the state sofar as 126 pacca \, 143 Kaccha and 536 cowsheds and shops were damaged in the state . He said in Kangra district about 81 Paccha houses, 143 Kaccha and 156 cowsheds and shops were completely damaged in the state.
Minister said that district administration also provide immediate relief of Rs 1.19 lakh to family which become houseless Rs 10,000 each to partly affected  houses and shops and Rs 4100 to cowsheds. Minister asked the member that if any families have been left out of the ten percent quota of CM housing scheme and SDRF , he should ask the affected families to apply for the scheme with the respective Deputy Commissioner. 
BJP member Arun Kumar said that many families belonging to his assembly constituency become homeless and they were living in the make shit places along with their relative, sheds and even forced to live in the cowsheds. 
He said that around 2000 families are affected in his assembly segments due to heavy rainfall however 900 families were kept outside the prime  minister and chief minister housing scheme.
 He said that panchayat Secretaries and Employees of department removed the names of affected families from the beneficiaries of the housing scheme.
