10 guarantees of Congress government proved false – Prem Thakur
The ten guarantees given to the people by the Congress Party during the assembly elections have proved to be completely false. 13 months have passed since the formation of the government but till now the people have received only a shiver in the name of guarantees. District Shimla BJP President Prem Thakur has made these allegations against the Congress government of the state in a statement issued on Sunday. He said that the Sukhu government has cheated the women of the state in the name of giving them Rs 1500 per month, for which the women of the state will answer during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Similarly, the due installment of dearness allowance has not been released to the employees and pensioners of the state for the last year. Whereas the state government has drowned the state in debt by taking a loan of Rs 14 thousand crores during its 13-month tenure.
Prem Thakur said that the government of happiness in the state has become a government of sorrow for the people. Referring to the BJP district Shimla, Prem Thakur said that despite having three cabinet ministers from Shimla district, not a single brick has been laid in the name of development. He said that despite the Congress Party representing the Kasupanti constituency for the last 22 years, this constituency is lagging in the entire Himachal Pradesh in terms of development. Out of 24 senior secondary schools in this constituency, science subjects are taught in only four schools. There is only one-degree college in the entire constituency where only Arts and Commerce subjects have been taught in the last 12 years. The most important thing is that due to the lack of higher education in this area. The number of youth reaching higher positions is zero. Most of the children sit at home after the 12th class. There is a shortage of staff in hospitals and children’s education is being affected due to a shortage of teachers in schools.
Prem Thakur has accused the Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh of organizing public programs without any budget. Told that on one hand the state government is harping on the economic plight, on the other hand, the government is trying to cheat the general public through public programs without any budget. He said that despite the financial assistance of Rs 1700 crore given by the Central Government after the terrible flood and tragedy last year, till now this government has not done any concrete work for the rehabilitation of roads and affected areas.
