Tanuja Kanwar from Theog makes her ODI Debut: A Proud Moment for Himachal

Tanuja Kanwar, a promising cricketer from Theog, Himachal Pradesh, has stepped onto the international stage by making her debut in One-Day Internationals (ODIs). She earned her spot in the Indian women’s cricket team for the final ODI against the West Indies. With this milestone, Tanuja has become the fourth woman cricketer from Himachal to debut in ODI cricket, following in the footsteps of Sushma Verma, Harleen Deol, and Renuka Singh Thakur, who have all represented the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association with distinction.

While Tanuja didn’t manage to pick up a wicket in her debut match, she bowled a disciplined spell of 9 overs, conceding just 44 runs. Although she didn’t get a chance to bat, her potential and promise are evident, fueling expectations for her future performances.
