Pro Himachal Premium Cricket League Gears Up for Season 3 with All-Himachali Talent

The Pro Himachal Premium Cricket League (Pro HPCL) is all set to kick off its much-anticipated third season on April 15. This year, the league has expanded with the addition of four new franchises, bringing the total to 20 teams representing districts across Himachal Pradesh, including Mandi, Solan, Kinnaur, Hamirpur, Shimla, Sirmaur, and Una.

Season 3 will feature an exclusive lineup of players from Himachal Pradesh, showcasing the state’s local talent. A total of 56 new players will join the league, making it a platform not just for competitive cricket but also for promoting awareness against drug abuse.

The prize pool has been significantly increased this year, with the winning team set to take home ₹9 lakh, while the runner-up will receive ₹4 lakh. Looking ahead, the league has big plans for its future seasons. A state-of-the-art cricket ground, currently under construction in Shimla, will soon be ready to host matches, including day-and-night games—making it the first of its kind in the region.

Ajay Thakur, the founder of Pro HPCL, highlighted the league’s dual mission of promoting sports and addressing social issues. “This platform is dedicated to nurturing homegrown talent while taking a firm stand against drug abuse. With the unwavering support of our franchise owners, we aim to create a positive impact both on and off the field,” he said.

As the excitement builds, Pro HPCL continues to establish itself as a beacon for young athletes and a powerful voice for social change in Himachal Pradesh.
