Himachal’s pride: Vanshika Goswami brings home gold in under-19 boxing world championship
Vanshika Goswami, a talented young boxer from Jwalamukhi, Himachal Pradesh, has emerged victorious at the Under-19 World Boxing Championship held in Colorado, USA. Competing in the 80 kg weight class, Vanshika delivered an impressive performance, decisively defeating the German champion to secure the gold medal.
Each punch she landed reflected her determination and dedication, and her win has sparked celebrations across the nation, especially in her home state. The Himachal Police, where her father serves, is especially thrilled with her achievement, and her family beams with pride at this proud moment.
Following her victory, Vanshika draped herself in the Indian tricolor, passionately chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” as the Indian National Anthem played during her medal ceremony.
Congratulations have been pouring in from all over the country. Himachal’s Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Leader of the Opposition Jairam Thakur joined in honoring Vanshika and her family.
