Classical dance festival in Shimla: ‘Celestial Rhythms’ mesmerized the audience

A classical dance evening “Celestial Rhythms” was organized by Kala Sangam Shimla at the historic Gaiety Theater in the capital. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Secretary of Ancient Art Center Sejal Kaushal. The performances given by the artists of YWCA mesmerized the audience. In the program, the students gave attractive performances of Rudra Taal, Jhaptaal and Teen Taal.

The main attraction of the program was the presentation of Chatur Ang Shastri Nritya by Vidushi Sameer Kaushal and her students. Which was highly appreciated by the audience. The Gaiety Theater auditorium was packed with art lovers and audience and they applauded the artists on every performance. Poonam Sharma, President of the local Kala Sangam Dance Academy, says that she has been teaching classical dance to students for the last 35 years. She keeps organizing such events from time to time and will continue to make continuous efforts to promote art in the future as well. Addressing at the end of the program, Vidushi Sameer Kaushal taught the artists the nuances of dance.
