7th International Film Festival unveils at Gaiety theatre Shimla
The three days 7th International Film Festival of Shimla begins at the historic Gaiety theater here today.
Additional Chief Secretary of Haryana and Former Director General Films Division V.S. Kundu, and Director LAC Dr Pankaj lalit unveiled the festival amid the cold clime of this capital town at 1500 hrs, .
A parallel screening of the Film Festival was done at Model Central Jail Kanda, Shimla and inaugurated by S.P Jail, Sh. Jaigopal Lodhta.
The festival was started with the Film booklet released by Sh. V.S. Kundu at the Gaiety Theater. The screening started with Eva, Mr. Sohan Lal.
Total 8 Films were screened today, including, Ziro Kilometers by Shamas Nawab Siddiqui, and Sumitra Bhave- A Parallel Jour by Dr. Santosh Pathare. Hatti, We exist- Vivek Tiwari and Breaking the ice by – Dr. Devkanya Thakur, films by Himachali Film makers were screened and appreciated by the audience. Irani film, 12 o’ clock by Sajad Soleymanialso got a good response.
The three days long film festival will showcase national as well as 58 Films. More than 35 National as well as international film makers are in town to participate in the Film Festival. This Festival was organized by Himalayan Velocity in association with Language Art and Culture.
