SW Monsoon likely to be Vigorous in Himachal 392 mm rain at Dharmshala
Indian Meterlogical Department projected heavy to very heavy Monsoon rainfall in some places of Himachal Pradesh on Monday and Tuesday
Head of Department and Director of Shimla Met Office Mr Surender Paul said that state witnessing active to vigorous monsoon conditions are prevailing in HP during past 24 hrs.
He said that heavy to very heavy rainfall reported in district Kangra as Dharmshala recorded 392 mm rain in past 24hrs.
Dharmshala got 181 mm from Dharamshala till 0830 hrs and continued till evening with 211 mm of rainfall.
These conditions with heavy to very heavy fall likely to continue in Kangra, Hamirpur, Mandi, Bilaspur, Shimla, Sirmaur and solan during next 48 hrs or so and may decrease afterwards.
These conditions may trigger land lides , inudations in low lying area, runoff in nullah and streams and disruptions of civic ammunities etc. Request to kindly take adequate safety measures, he warned.
