Monsoon rain lashes many places in HP,Orange warning in five districts predicted very heavy rainfall

South West Monsoon system revived in many places of Himachal after a gap of two week today as rain lashed most places in the state inlast 24 hrs giving respite from sweltering heat weather.
Naina Devi in Bilaspur had 181 mm  rain, Renuka 155 mm, Jatton Barragein Sirmaur 149 mm, Nahan 119 mm, Bharari in Una 104 mm, Hamirpur in 98 mm, Kasauli in Solan 64 mm, Mehre in Kangra 38 mm, Kahu in Hamirpur35 mm and Palampur in  Kangra 31 mm.
Rainfall also recorded at Baldwara 30 mm, Sujanpur tira-29 mm, Jhandutta & berthin in Bilaspur 25  mm each, Nalagarh in Solan 23 mm, Kasol in Kullu 21 mmKothi 19 mm, Bhoranj in Hamirpur & Manali in Kullu 18 mm each, Gohar,in Mandi & Baijnath in Kangra 17 mm each, Jubbar Hatti in Shimla  & Una-13 mm each, Bilaspur 10 mm, Jogindernagar in Mandi and Rampur in Shimla 9  mm each.
Maximum temperature of Una was 34.7 degrees, Bilaspur and Bhuntar in Kullu 31.5 degrees eachSolan 31 degrees, Hamirpur 30.5 degrees, Sundernagar 30.4 degrees Dharmshala 28.8 degrees,Kangra 28.7 degrees, Chamba 28.5 degrees,  Nahan in Sirmaur  28.3 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnuar23 degrees, Keylong 22 degrees, Shimla 21.6  degrees, Dalhousie in Chamba 20.1 degrees.
The Met Office issued orange weather warning of very heavy rainfall at isolated places in BilaspurChamba, Kangra, Sirmaur, Shimla and Solan and yellow warning of heavy rainfall  at UnaHamirpur, Kullu, Mandi district in next 24 hrs.
The Monsoon would be vigorously active in the state during next 24 hrs as rain or thundershower is forcast in most places for next three days in mid and foothills and many places in the high reaches.
