Incassant rainfall in HP, partly affected normal life

Incessant rain and thunder strom affected normal life partially as water level of rivers, dams are rising and some places reported flashflood situation forcing the Indian Meterlogical Department to issue red alert in few places.
In last 24hrs till 0830hrs on Monday Palampur of Kangra had 230 mm rain, Dehra Gopipur 185 mm,  Ghamroor-165, Guler 124 mm Baijnath 90 mm, Nagrota Suriyan 89 mm and Mahere 72 mm, Dharmshala 64 mm and Kangra 59 mm..
In Hamirpur, Sujanpur Tira had 156 mm rain and Nadaun 89 mm and Hamirpur 77 mm, Bhoranj 59 mm, Berthin and  Bilaspur 134 mm and 105 mm, Jhanduta 39 mm and Naina devi 35mm.
 Jogindernagar in Mandi 112 mm, Bijahi 86 mm, Mandi- 50 mm each and Baldwara-48 mm and Sundernagar 37 mm.
Amb and  Una 98 mm & 71 mm, Banjar in Kullu-92 mm and Bajoura 35 mm,Paonta Sahib- in Sirmuar 72 mm,  Nalagarh in Solan 39 mm  
Met Office issued red alert of flashflood stating that  Surface runoff or inundation may occur at some fully saturated watersheds & low- lying areas due to expected persistent rainfall in next six hours.
District Disaster management Authority Sirmaur said the flowing very heavy rain in the upstream and rise in water level of Jateon Dam on the Giri river a tributary of Yamuna gate no two three and four have been opened to release the water.No other dam or river reported rising above the danger mark in the state.Met Office predicted threat of persistent Flash Flood Threat (PFFT) tills 0530hrs on July 20 in few places in the state.
Warning of moderate to High threat over few watersheds and neighborhood of Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur  and Kullu districts in Himachal Pradesh also issued by State disaster management Authority.The Met office gave orange warning of Thunderstorms and very heavy rainfall in isolated places in mid and foothills.
The forecast of widespread moonson rainfall is made in most places in the state in next 24 hrs.
