High reaches receives fresh snowfall in Himachal
High reaches of Lahaul-Spiti,Chamba, Kullu and Kinnaur received light to moderate snowfall in last 24 hrs however it was mainly dry and sunny un rest of state and Giving respite from cold weather Mercury slightly improvised in wee and night hours. Indian Meterogical Department said in weather bullitein issued on Friday that in Lahaul-Spiti district Hansa recorded 10 cm snowfall, Gondla two cm Kukumseri 1.8 cm and Keylong one cm. According to mey Office Tourist resort Kufri also had 1.4 cm snowfall overnight however weather was pleasent today. Light blanket of clouds overcast in the sky gave major redpite from bone chilling coldwave as Minimum temperature show slight increase. Minimum temperature of Keylong was minus two degrees and four degrees above normal. It was 1.2 degrees in Kalpa ( Kinnaur), 5.8 & 6.8 degrees in Manali and Kufri, 9 and ten degrees in Shimla and Dharmshala, 2.9 and 3 .5 in Mandi and Solan, 4.6 and 5 degrees at Hamirpur and Bilaspur and 4.4 and 9.3 in Una and Chamba and 6.3 degrees Tourist resort Dalhousie. Lahaul Spiti Administeration have issue Weather advisory for next 24hrs for commuters who want to visit tribal district warning that after snowfall Kaza road (NH-505) had been closed for all vehicular Movement similarly Shinkula Road also shut down for vehicles. Manali Leh National Highway (NH-003) which is open till Darcha and Pangi Killar Highway (SH-26) is open to all types of vehicles.
