Delta Plus variant of Covid traced in Himachal
First case of Delta plus variant of Covid -19 was traced in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, senior officer of Administration told our reporter.
Deputy Commissioner Kangra Dr Nipun Jindal confirmed that a woman belonging to Palampur town of Kangra district were tested positive for the Delta Plus variant. All the family members were already tested positive for nCoV before the lady today found positive for Covid-19 .The patient is reported out of danger and recovering from the pandemic speedily.
This is the first case of Delta Plus variant in the state; moreover about 74 cases of Delta variant were already traced in the state.
On Thursday 14 new cases were traced in Kangra district and 26 people recovered from Covid. Dr Jindal said that 263 active cases are in various hospital and isolation centers of Covid in the district. In wake of new development Chief Medical Officer Kangra urged people to not rush toward the vaccination center in panic.
From Today onward containment guidelines were relaxed to almost normal as 100 per cent people could occupancy is allowed in public transport and interstate bus services started in various route in the state. All shrines were also thrown open in the state from today onward.
Amid tourist rush there is a high chance of increasing the more fresh cases mostly of the highly contagious strains. There are report of one death due to Covid in the state on Thursday and 167 people tested positive for Corona Virus.
State recorded 2.02 lakh cases of Covid and there are 1639 active cases . The death cases increased to 3464 in the state due to the pandemic.
